At ON-POINT Connect, we are looking for an experienced and committed Managing Consultant / Banking Expert who not only delivers successful client projects, but actively leads, develops and strategically shapes them.

As a Managing Consultant / Banking Expert, you will play a key role in demanding consulting projects for internationally active financial institutions. You will bring in your specialist banking expertise, lead project teams, manage complex initiatives and ensure that client requirements are translated into sustainable, future-oriented solutions.

Your role will go beyond project delivery. You will also contribute to the development of our client relationships, identify new consulting opportunities, support project sourcing and take part in pitches and proposal processes. In your leadership role, you will take responsibility for project quality, team coordination, internal improvements and the financial management of your projects.

Your new challenge

• Lead and coordinate demanding consulting projects in the banking environment
• Provide functional leadership and support the development of project teams
• Analyse internal banking processes, identify optimisation potential and develop tailored solutions
• Take responsibility for project planning, quality assurance and stakeholder management
• Drive strategic client management and build long-term client relationships
• Support project sourcing, pitches and proposal processes
• Manage the financial performance of projects, including resource planning, budget control and profitability
• Actively contribute to internal improvements, standards, methods and best practices
• Bring your banking expertise into the further development of our consulting portfolio

What you bring

• A degree in business administration, business informatics, business law or a comparable qualification with a focus on banking and finance
• At least 5 years of experience in consulting, ideally in the banking or financial services environment
• Deep understanding of internal banking processes, business models and regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Experience in leading projects, sub-projects and teams
• Ability to analyse complex topics in a structured way, communicate them clearly and translate them into actionable solutions
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong sense of responsibility and a clear focus on quality, commercial viability and client value
• Experience in business development, project acquisition and proposal processes is an advantage
• Knowledge of core banking systems such as Avaloq, SAP, Temenos or comparable platforms is desirable
• Very good German and English language skills, at least C1 level
• Strong team spirit, flexibility and willingness to travel within the DACH region
